This new on-line registration and approval process replaces the paper Bidder’s Application Form and the Pre-qualification Application for Construction Bids effective July 1, 2013. All vendors wishing to do business with WCPS will need to complete the application below, regardless of whether there is a paper application currently on file. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

This online form requests basic information about your company and experience and should only take a few minutes to complete. In addition to submission of this form, WCPS requires all vendors to submit an IRS Form W-9 which may be obtained at: http://www.irs.gov/uac/Form-W-9,-Request-for-Taxpayer-Identification-Number-and-Certification as well as a Sample Certificate of Insurance. These forms and any other applicable attachments may be uploaded electronically during the application process or may be submitted via email to: [email protected] or fax to: 301-766-2859.

If a construction or related service category is selected, in addition to the above requirements, it is incumbent upon the vendor to submit a copy of a construction or business license to the WCPS Purchasing Department as well. Additionally, for any vendor wishing to bid on construction/renovation projects exceeding $25,000 or more, a completed Pre-Qualification Application must be submitted. This form can be found on your vendor profile page once your account is activated by the Purchasing Department. On-line applications for construction and related categories will not be considered complete until all required supporting documents are received by the WCPS Purchasing Department. Any bid for construction and related services submitted by a contractor who is not pre-qualified by WCPS in advance may be refused or returned unopened by the WCPS Purchasing official.

Once registered, vendors will receive via email from the WCPS Purchasing Department, information pertaining to bid solicitations and addenda; therefore, maintaining a valid email address in your vendor profile is paramount. WCPS requires that all vendor accounts be updated every three (3) years; you will receive an email when this time approaches.

The criteria used to make a determination of eligibility (or non-eligibility) to participate is available upon request of the WCPS Purchasing Department. WCPS does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, sex, age, national origin, religion or handicap.
