Disinfectant/Sanitizing Wipes

Regarding the use of privately purchased disinfectant/sanitizing wipes in classrooms and offices: In place of those items, it is recommended that your building staff request from the custodians, a spray bottle with the disinfectant cleaner 25H Quat Disinfectant. It is a broad spectrum hospital grade disinfectant for use against viruses and bacteria. It can be used on desks, tables, chairs, counter tops and door handles, the same surfaces as the disinfectant / sanitizing wipes. This is a highly effective product and is not bleach-based, which has been known to irritate the skin and affect persons with respiratory issues.  Disinfectant wipes can pose a potential safety risk to students   Additionally, on occasion these type of wipes end up being used to clean dry erase boards in classrooms and offices. The ingredients in these wipes (bleach in most cases) will cause the surface of the dry erase board to erode and lose its ability to function as a dry erase surface, requiring the time and expense of repair and/or replacement.
